Man can choose

 Throughout this world of humankind,
each one different from the rest,
a common thread unites us all
the human right to choose.

*

And this one chooses this way,
this one chooses the other,
one is right, the other is wrong,
and each has a war with his brother.

*

It was not intended this way;
this gift of human choice
was meant the each would choose the right
and live in peace with the other.

*

And whether I speak in this tongue
and you speak in another,
the breath we breathe each passing day
connect us each to the other.

*

Thus humans are free each passing day
to choose what we do with this life,
we can choose to create, to care and to love
or we end up destroying each other.
